We invite applications from suitably qualified and innovative individuals to take up the position of Artisan Electrical to be based in Kitwe.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out electrical maintenance, repair and installation of all electrical equipment under 380v supply. This role will be reporting to the Supervisor – Electrical & Refrigeration Maintenance.
Key Accountabilities
- To carry out routine maintenance of all electrical equipment.
- Carry out repair work which involves dismantling, diagnosis, and rectification of faults, assembling, installation and commissioning of electricals.
- Undertake modification of defective units so as to adapt them to new operating requirements.
- Reading & interpreting electrical drawing circuits blueprints and schematics.
- Install and commission new equipment at required places as required by the company.
- Carry out all tests and follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code.
- Carry out electrical activities in the most efficient and effective manner to ensure that the same are performed right the first time.
- Undertake any other jobs that may be added from time to time in compliance with company programmes of multi-skilling.
- Undertake and complete given assignments within allocated time frame to avoid unnecessary overtime.
- Ensure that all company resources in the company are used solely for the company purposes and that there is no misuse of assets, tools and other materials.
- Ensure that safety regulations and procedures are observed and discipline is maintained within an individual to avoid loss of time and costs to the company.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to have:
- Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Craft Certificate in Electrical.
- Basic Refrigeration Certificate.
- Member of EIZ & ERB.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
