CEC – Change in Directorate

Pursuant to section 3.59 of the LuSE Listing Requirements, the Board of Directors of Copperbelt Energy Corporation PLC (“CEC” or the “Company”) wishes to announce the resignation of Mr Christopher Mubemba as director of the CEC Board effective 28th February 2025. Further, the Board would like to announce the appointment of Ms. Prisca Chikwashi as director of the Board effective 28th February 2025.

Ms. Chikwashi who comes in as a new member of the Board, has over 35 years’ experience in industrial project appraisal and management, economic analysis, marketing, research, policy formulation, strategic planning, corporate diagnostic and restructuring, corporate planning, and trade and investment. She has held several executive roles including that of Chief Executive Officer at the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI). Ms Chikwashi has been Director on several Boards, in various sectors, some on which she continues to serve.

The Board wishes to congratulate Ms. Chikwashi on her appointment with the CEC Board and looks forward to her contribution to the Company. The Board further wishes Mr Mubemba well in his future endeavours.
