CEC, Silavwe claim Business Chamber Top Honours

CEC has, for the third time in four years, been recognized as the Most Outstanding Corporate of the Year in Kitwe District.

Alongside the corporate recognition, the Managing Director, Owen Silavwe has been bestowed the honour of being the Business Executive of the Year.

At the awards presentation ceremony for the Kitwe & District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KDCCI) held on Friday, 2nd December, the Chamber gave recognition to the Company for its all-round excellence. The award is the highest distinction bestowed by KDCCI each year and has been claimed by CEC for the third time now in the four years that it has been given.

It takes into account various aspects of the business including business sustainability, existence and implementation of work health and safety management systems, risk assessment and control, business growth, competitive edge, financial and operational performance, corporate social responsibility, commitment to compliance management, and training.

The 2022 award is even more special as it twins with Mr. Silavwe’s topping the corporate leader board and being recognized for being the year’s most notable business executive.
