CEC is inviting applications from suitably qualified, innovative and dynamic individuals to take up the following positions:

Job Purpose

To provide security services for the safeguard of Company property and to ensure the safety of personnel.

Key Accountabilities

• Man and ensure that Company property is guarded against vandalism and theft
• Provide protection to all personnel to ensure their safety.
• Carry out thorough search on vehicles and employees passing through the gates to ensure that Company property is not removed without authority.
• Ensure that motor vehicles leaving the plant are duly authorized.
• Ensure safe custody of keys and motor vehicles parked in the plant.
• Carry out investigations involving thefts, vandalism and motor vehicle accidents and other policing activities in the most effective and efficient manner.
• Maintain occurrence book on a daily basis and ensure that cases of a criminal nature are brought to the attention of the superior.
• Conduct oneself in conformity with police etiquette so as to uphold high standards of professionalism.
• Undertake any additional tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time, in compliance with the Company multi-skilling programme.
• Undertake and complete given assignments within allocated time.
• Readiness to work away from home for prolonged periods of time.

Qualifications and Experience

• Law and Police duties certificate
• 1 year post qualification experience
• Driving (with valid driving license) is an added advantage
• Computer literate and fully conversant with the Microsoft Office package
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
