Invitation for bids | Luano Diesel Storage Tanks and Auxiliary Equipment for Lease

Copperbelt Energy Corporation PLC (CEC), a Zambian electrical transmission and distribution company based in Kitwe, Zambia has available for lease a fully-fledged Tank Farm based in Luano Area, 18km from Chingola and 60km from the Zambia/DRC border at Kasumbalesa. The tanks are for storage of Gas oil (Diesel) only.

Description of facility

3 x 1,800,000 litres capacity fuel tanks and auxiliary equipment accessible by both road and rail
network.

Interested organizations are invited to submit sealed bids for usage of this facility on lease. It is
preferred that the operator uses the facility for back-up storage purposes only.

Bidders are requested to provide the following information together with their bids:

  1. Company profile including complete postal & street details
  2. Licenses & documentation relevant in the fuels business
  3. Experience in handling fuels, especially diesel, including environmental, safety and emergency handling capabilities
  4. Business plan/detailed statement about intended use of the facility
  5. Financial information to demonstrate capability
  6. Offer rent per month in US/kwacha
  7. References
  8. Any other information that may be relevant for the consideration of the bid.

Duration

The preferred tenure is at least one year subject to negotiation.

The bid, in a sealed envelope, should be addressed to Copperbelt Energy Corporation PLC, 23rd Avenue, Nkana East, P O Box 20819, Kitwe, Zambia.

Attention: Senior Manager- Supply Chain Management.

Note that telefax or electronic bids will NOT be considered.

Bids sealed and clearly marked “Lease of Luano Tanks” must be deposited in the Tender Box at CEC Police Reception situated at 23rd Avenue, Nkana East, Kitwe, Zambia not later than 13th April 2017 and must be accompanied by proof of purchase of bidding document.

The closing date for the receipt of bids is Thursday 13th April 2017 at 14:00 hours. All posted bids must reach CEC within the stipulated date and time and any bid received after time and date as above will not be accepted. Bids will be opened thereafter in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

Site visit shall be conducted on 3rd March 2017 between 10:00 hours and 15:00 hours.

The bid must be in the English Language.

Bidding document may be purchased by interested bidders from Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc offices upon payment of non-refundable fee of Two Hundred Kwacha (K200.00) cash or bank certified cheque.
