Lease of Fish Breeding Ponds, Chicken Runs, Green House and Ginnery

Introduction

Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (CEC) is an independent power transmission and distribution company with interests in closely linked businesses in Zambia and the African region including, optic fibre based telecommunications.

CEC Plc invites bids from reputable firms, organizations and individuals to lease the following properties under its Local Business Unit: (a) Fish Breeding Ponds, (b) Chicken Runs (x5), (c) Farm Shop and Abattoir, (d) Green House and Ginnery.

Location

The subject properties are located at or within the former CEC Farm premises on Central Street, Nkana East, Kitwe opposite CEC Central Switching Station (CSS) and approximately 4 kilometers from the Central Business District.

Bidding instructions

  1. Interested parties or bidders should have demonstrable management ability and financial status to manage the above-mentioned property and must be willing to meet the terms and conditions of lease.
  2. Duly completed bids must reach Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc by 14:30 hours on Friday, 21st August, 2015 and shall be deposited in the tender box located at the Copperbelt Energy Corporation Security Reception.
  3. Property viewing arrangements should be made through the Senior Manager Procurement and Supply on the following contact numbers: +260 212 244260 and 260 212 244255 or e-mail [email protected] /[email protected] between 7th and 11th September, 2015, both dates inclusive.

Clarification during evaluation

  1. During the evaluation, CEC Plc may request the applicant for any clarifications. The applicant shall furnish the necessary clarifications expeditiously by post, courier or any other faster means of communication to CEC Plc at the address given.
  2. Failure to provide information essential to evaluate the applicant’s qualifications or provide timely clarifications shall entitle CEC Plc the right to declare such a bidder as non-responsive and reject the document.
