The Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (CEC) is an independent power supply, transmission, and distribution Company with interests in closely linked businesses, including fibre optic telecommunications, in Zambia and the Sub-Saharan African region.
CEC is inviting applications from suitably qualified, innovative and dynamic individuals to take up the position of Field Operations Coordinator based at our Head Office in Kitwe.
Job Purpose
The role renders a comprehensive electrical drafting and design service to facilitate the construction and maintenance of electrical engineering projects in strict compliance with relevant safety, health, legislative and environmental requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Participate in the control and coordination of the operations of the Company’s electrical system to ensure continuity and the highest level of security of supply to customers at all times.
- Assist the System Controller in carrying out analysis of system abnormalities to minimize down time and enhance system integrity.
- Support enforcement and come up with new measures of safety to prevent accidents and incidents leading to lost time, damage to Company property and injury or loss of life.
- Participate in the commissioning of equipment in conformity with laid down procedures.
- Provide an acceptable level of voltage at consumer busbars both under normal and emergency conditions in accordance with Power Supply Agreements.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum: Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Desirable: Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Accreditation: Registered Technologist of Engineering Institution of Zambia.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
