The Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (CEC) is an independent power transmission and distribution company with interests in closely linked businesses, including optic fibre based telecommunications, in Zambia and the African region. CEC Plc invites applications from suitably qualified, innovative and dynamic individuals for the position below:
SUPPLY OFFICER (01)
Job Purpose
To receive goods from suppliers, prepare receipts documentation and issue goods to end users in a manner that effectively supports Company operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Receive materials from suppliers and prepare accurate receipts documentation
- Issue materials to end users in specified quantities and update stock records
- Monitor stock movement trends and identify redundant and obsolete items
- Replenish stock at re-order level
- Maintain a lean and manageable catalogue
- Participate in stock takes and stock checks in liaison with the Stock Analyst
- Carry out duties in line with the relevant Company policies, procedures and Safety, Health and Environment requirements
- Ensure that materials are stored safely to prevent pilferage, deterioration or spoilage
Qualifications and Experience
- Full Grade twelve (12) Certificate
- Minimum Advanced Diploma (Level 5) of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
- Ability to use internet and online facilities
- Possession of a Driver’s License will be an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in Supply Chain Management; and
- Appropriate membership grade of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
