CEC / Diamond TV FIFA World Cup Partnership

In just three days, the world’s biggest football showpiece, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, will kick off in Qatar, and for the first time, it will be held in the Middle East. Diamond Media has successfully acquired the free-to-air rights to broadcast the World Cup in Zambia, thanks to partnerships with four corporate companies, including Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC).

Through the partnership, CEC has contributed $20,000 towards the acquisition of the rights, enabling Diamond Media to make the World Cup accessible to football fans across the country. The partnership resonates with CEC’s passion for football and its commitment to serving the community.

CEC’s Managing Director, Owen Silavwe, expressed his pride in the opportunity to partner with Diamond Media and bring the World Cup to the screens of many Zambians, including school-going children. He emphasized the importance of partnerships with local enterprises in promoting community development.

With the partnership, Zambian football fans will be able to watch the 2022 FIFA World Cup from the comfort of their homes, thanks to the support of corporate companies like CEC.
