Power Dynamos – Baby Born With Teeth

Meyton Kaira, founder and former team manager of Power Dynamos, recently shared his inspiring journey of building one of Zambia’s most successful football clubs. From humble beginnings in his village to working for the Copperbelt Power Company, Kaira faced several challenges to form the team, including buying food for hungry players and ferrying them to matches on the roof of his van.

Despite facing setbacks, Kaira remained determined and eventually gained support from Copperbelt Power Company’s management, including General Manager Arthur Davies. With Davies’ help, Kaira secured a pitch and named it the Arthur Davies Stadium.

Kaira’s passion for football and dedication to the team was evident as he also drove the players and managed the team day and night. The team’s success over the years has made Kaira very proud, especially as the club celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Power Dynamos’ story is not just about football, but also about perseverance, passion, and community spirit. Kaira’s journey to build the club is a testament to what can be achieved with hard work, dedication, and a clear vision. His commitment to the team and its success is a reminder of the power of community and what can be accomplished when people come together to pursue a shared goal.

As Power Dynamos celebrates its 50th anniversary, it serves as an inspiration to other aspiring football clubs, businesses, and individuals alike, to never give up and to always strive for excellence.
