Investing in our communities

We support education, health, sport and recreation, environmental stewardship, infrastructure development and invest in young people. All projects that make a difference to the people of Zambia. We recognise and support the passion and drive of our employees to be valued participants in their communities, providing volunteering opportunities.

Education is a key focus, as we believe that improving education opportunities for an individual is a catalyst for a better life for themselves and their families, communities and society. It is also vital to the future of our industry as the young people we support today are potential employees of tomorrow. We support community schools through the construction of school infrastructure and provision of learning and teaching materials. In higher education, CEC provides sponsorship for events that promote the fields of science and engineering as well as qualities such as innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. We work closely with tertiary institutions to support students in our sector.
